Unit 03 · March
Awakening Earth & Resurrection Hope
New life after winter
Scripture & Jesus with us
“I am the resurrection and the life.”
— John 11:25Jesus Himself is the life that wakes what looked finished.
“I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.”
— Ezekiel 37:5–6God can bring life where we only see dry ground.
“He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies.”
— Romans 8:11The same power that raised Jesus is at work in us.
Three-class breakdown
Class 1 — Wonder & Observation
Look for first buds, green shoots, and returning birds. Compare a dormant twig with a waking one. “I wonder what God is waking up?”
Class 2 — Scripture & Teaching
Read the resurrection verses. Connect the empty garden tomb with the garden that wakes in spring. Jesus is not far from dirt and morning light.
Class 3 — Creation Response
Plant a Resurrection Garden — a shallow dish of soil, moss, a small empty “tomb” stone, and seeds. Watch life rise around the empty place.
Signature take-home
Resurrection Garden
- Fill a shallow dish with soil and a little moss.
- Place a small stone or clay “tomb” with an empty opening.
- Plant wheat berries or grass seed around it.
- Keep moist and watch green rise around the empty tomb.
Parent tips
Each week ask: “What is waking up — in the dish and in us?” Read John 11:25 together.
Journal: Draw the garden each week. One sentence: “Jesus is life.”
