Give thanks in all things

“Give thanks in all circumstances.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:18Not for every hard thing — in them, because Jesus is with us.
“When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.”
— Luke 14:13–14Jesus widens the table.
Three-class breakdown
Class 1 — Wonder & Observation
Taste or smell a harvest food. Name people who helped it reach the table.
Class 2 — Scripture & Teaching
Jesus at tables. He eats with people. We make room.
Class 3 — Creation Response
Pack a Gratitude Feast Kit — a simple shared snack plus a note of thanks to give away.
Signature take-home
Gratitude Feast Kit
- Choose a simple food to share (muffins, fruit, tea).
- Write a short thanks note as a family.
- Invite someone — a neighbor, a friend, someone who eats alone.
- Pray before you give it.
Parent tips
Let children help write the note. The feast can be small. Presence matters more than spread.
Journal: Three thanks. One person we made room for.
