“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light… For to us a child is born.”

Three-class breakdown
Class 1 — Wonder & Observation
Sit in a dimmed room, then light one candle (adult only). Notice how little light changes a whole space.
Class 2 — Scripture & Teaching
Read Luke 2 and John 1. Jesus came near in the night. Families do not have to be impressive to be visited.
Class 3 — Creation Response
Make a Star of Wonder Lantern to carry or set in a window through the twelve days.
Signature take-home
Star of Wonder Lantern
- Decorate a simple jar or paper lantern with a star.
- Place a battery tea light inside (no open flame for children).
- Set in a window or walk it at dusk once.
- Say: “The Light has come. Jesus is with us.”
Parent tips
Keep Christmas unhurried if you can. One verse, one light, one thanks. That is enough.
Journal: Draw your lantern. Write Luke 2:10 in a child’s hand if they wish.
