Lesson 12 · 15–20 minutes · 5–12 years
All Creation Praises God – Review and Celebration
Supplies
- Children’s sunflower cups (hopefully with visible growth by now)
- Optional: simple celebration craft supplies or a favorite creation song
Opening
2–3 minutes“Today we celebrate! We have walked together from a tiny seed all the way through animals, weather, stars, insects, fish, and our own bodies. Everything points back to the same Creator.”
Interactive Teaching / Review
7–8 minutesGently review the journey:
We planted a seed and learned that we plant… but only God makes it grow.
We saw that every seed has instructions from God.
We learned we are made in His image and fearfully and wonderfully made.
We talked about deep roots, amazing animals, the weather that cares for us, the lights in the sky, the tiny insects, the fish in the waters, and our job to care for creation.
All of it declares the glory of God. The same God who made the sunflower knows the number of hairs on your head and loved you before you were born. He speaks to us in the Bible and invites us to praise Him.
“Praise the Lord from the heavens… Praise the Lord from the earth…”
— Psalm 148
Hands-On Activity
5 minutesCelebrate the sunflower. If it has grown, notice the leaves and stem. Or do a simple praise craft: draw or write one thing from creation you want to thank God for. Sing a short creation song together if desired.
Closing
2 minutesEverything points to God’s love. He loves you. The farm is the classroom, and the whole world is full of reasons to praise Him. Keep noticing. Keep thanking. Keep growing.
Closing prayer
Lead the children, having them repeat after you.
Dear God,
Thank You for all creation.
Thank You for knowing us and loving us.
Help us praise You always — with our words, our care, and our lives.
Amen.
Take-home sheet
What I learned
God made everything wonderful — plants, animals, weather, stars, and me. He knows me and loves me. All creation can praise Him.
Care for the sunflower
- Keep loving and caring for it
- Notice how much it has grown since the beginning
Verse to remember
“Praise the Lord from the heavens… Praise the Lord from the earth…” — Psalm 148
My job this week
Thank God for three things He made. Share one thing you learned with someone in your family.
Parent note
Look back at the plant together. Celebrate the growth. Ask your child what they loved most about the journey. End with a short time of simple praise.
